The H&K SL family of guns are a variant of the G36 platform that offers a more rifle style appearance and longer barrel that allows for improved accuracy which makes it an excellent precision rifle platform. The SL9 is the 7.62mm variant of the SL8 that is currently under development but otherwise maintains a very similar appearance and ergonomics. This airsoft SL9 made by Ares provides the same look, function and ergonomics of real SL9 and is officially licensed by H&K. The Ares SL9 features a nylon reinforced polymer body just like real one that offers amazing durability and decreases the overall weight of the gun making it easier to carry. In addition to the durability body the gun comes with a full metal version 3 ares gearbox which is compatible with most tokyo marui compatible parts. The slightly redesigned version 3 gearbox allows for a quick change spring, spring decompression and a microswitch trigger that improves reliability and trigger response. The H&K Ares SL9 comes with a built in mock suppressor barrel extension that covers the huge 673mm barrel which allows for extremely accurate shots and improved ranged. The stock on this gun is very similar to the design of the L96 and provides a very comfortable and ergonomic hold that is adjustable in length and cheek riser height. Overall the Umarex Ares SL9 is an extremely high quality build and offers top level performance for any airsoft player.

Does not shoot straight
Moving the hop up from one end to the other there is no sweet spot to fire straight. It fires to the right with every shot no matter where the hop up is.

H&K Licensed SL9 Airsoft AEG Sniper Rifle
Pretty decent gun. I don't personally own one, but my neighbor has one and it shoots well. It has broken a couple times though (Spring guide, stock chipped) but other than that, a very good gun.
