In January 1983, Bernard C. White of Magnum Research filed a patent on a mechanism for a gas-actuated pistol which became the design of the Desert Eagle. The revolutionary design used mechanisms found in rifles, instead of the short recoil design in most semi-automatic pistols. In December 1985, a second patent was filed when the Israel Military Industries (IMI) refined it for production.Functionally, the Desert Eagle feels more like a rifle than a pistol, with its rotating bolt resembling an M16. The benefit of its gas-operation is that it allows for the use of far more powerful cartridges compared to traditional designs.
This Officially Licensed Desert Eagle .50AE gun is designed perfectly down to the last detail. This .50AE feels exactly like the real one when holding it. The gun construction is unbreakable with every detail worked out to the bone. The blowback action is very smooth and does not redirect your shots at all! The grip has that classic oversized magnificent hold. Each CO2 cartridge will last about 15 magazine loads. This is awesome. It shoots hard and is accurate. It has good range. The first time I shot someone with it they did a backflip. It has a loud when you shoot it. I have left a co2 in it for a month and it hasn't leaked a bit. They only problem is if you shoot it on full auto a lot the barrel (the barrel is metal, it's awesome also) the barrel may fly out and this little rubber black peice may also come out. If is happens put the rubber black peice back in the chamber. It goes right behind the barrel which starts at the end of the chamber when opened. And to fix the barrel problem just push it back in the front if the gun and don't use it for awhile, that should fix it, if not get it fixed by a person that knows what they are doing. If you take this to play airsoft, this will the most awesome (and scariest) looking gun of them all. This gun is AWESOME!
